We have reached a major milestone at the African American Cultural and Historical Museum of Washtenaw County with the hiring of our first full-time executive director as we step into a new chapter at our permanent Pittsfield Township location. This moment allows us to deepen our commitment to uplifting local Black stories, artists, and history while remaining a welcoming, accessible, and community-centered museum. Looking ahead, we are expanding exhibits, Kwanzaa programming, community gatherings, and launching a permanent rotating exhibit focused on Black life in Washtenaw County.
